UPPCC Announces New Headquarters and Management Partner

May 20, 2015 - The Universal Public Procurement Certification Council (UPPCC) has selected AMR Management Services (AMR) as its new management partner effective July 1, 2015. AMR will serve as the UPPCC's headquarters office and management company, providing support from AMR's offices in Lexington, KY and Herndon, VA.

The UPPCC was founded in 1978 by the National Association of State Procurement Officials (NASPO) and NIGP: The Institute for Public Procurement and established as an independent entity to govern and administer the Certified Public Procurement Officer (CPPO) and Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB) certification programs. The CPPO and CPPB programs are highly regarded and respected among procurement professionals and employers involved in the public sector.

"The UPPCC is at an exciting time in its 37 year history," says David Gragan, CPPO, UPPCC Governing Board Chair. "The certification programs continue to be seen as the go to credential for public sector employees in the United States and around the world. This strategic move will help keep the UPPCC on the right track to continued success."

The governing bodies of the UPPCC, NASPO and NIGP recognize the value of their collective collaboration and remain more committed than ever to maintaining their long-standing strategic partnership and to elevating public procurement through professional certifications, education and advocacy.

Ann Peshoff, CAE, CMP, UPPCC Executive Director, will continue in her role and will be located in AMR's Herndon, VA office effective July 1, 2015. Additional information directed towards certification applicants and existing certificants will be forthcoming in the next few weeks.
