UPPCC Launches New Certification Website

September 12, 2006 - The Universal Public Purchasing Certification Council (UPPCC) recently launched its own new independent website, www.uppcc.org. The new website uses the latest Microsoft .NET technology and was designed and built with the future in mind. The content-rich site features:

  • A News & Events page to keep you informed

  • An improved UPPCC certificant search feature

  • New resources and tips for candidates

  • Volunteer opportunities for certified individuals

  • Photos, bios and contact information for UPPCC Leadership

  • Easy to find forms, applications and handbooks for CPPO and CPPB certification and recertification

"The new website is a major step forward for the UPPCC and its certification programs," said UPPCC Council Chairman Don Buffum, CPPO. "Its user-friendly format and design provides an ideal platform in which to communicate with and support applicants, candidates and certificants alike. Future enhancements such as practice questions, practice exams and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) are just some of the projects slated for the website in the near future."

The Universal Public Purchasing Certification Council (UPPCC) is an independent entity formed to govern and administer the Certified Public Purchasing Officer (CPPO) and Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB) certification programs.

The CPPO and CPPB programs are highly regarded and respected among procurement professionals and employers involved in the public sector. To date, the UPPCC has certified well over 10,000 professionals primarily within the US and Canada, but in other nations around the globe as well.
