Review the Eligibility

Obtain a UPPCC Handbook
and Application. |

Review the Handbook from cover to cover. |
•
|
Complete the Application form. |
•
|
Gather required documentation (official position descriptions,
request official college transcripts, certificates of completion for
coursework, etc.) |

Submit the completed application with the appropriate
fees and documentation to the UPPCC via facsimile, e-mail or by postal
service. |
•
|
Allow four (4) to six (6) weeks for the UPPCC to complete the
review of the application. All candidates are notified by mail. |
•
|
Once candidates are notified of eligibility, the candidate may
then request the date and location of their examination. Only eligible
candidates are permitted to take the examination. Candidates have 24 months to
successfully complete the examination upon notification of eligibility. |

CPPO Candidates: Are required
to successfully complete both a written, multiple choice examination and oral
examination. |
•
|
CPPB Candidates:
Are required to successfully complete a written, multiple choice examination. |
•
|
Allow twenty-one (21) calendar days for receipt of the exam
results follow the date of the examination. |
•
|
Candidates who are successful in fully meeting both the
eligibility requirements and the examination requirements will be conferred the
desired UPPCC certification. |
•
|
Certificants are required to recertify
every five (5) years in order to maintain certified status. |
