Documentation is required for verification of all items submitted for consideration for recertification. It is a good idea to start a recertification file soon after certification is achieved in preparation for recertification. This is an easy way to keep track of attendance and to store certificates of attendance/completion that are required for recertification documentation.

Acceptable Forms of Documentation for Education/Training

The candidate will be required to submit one of the following at the time of recertification to document education/training.

1.
Syllabus or course outline of activity attended. The syllabus or outline must include detailed description of topic(s) or course title, specific dates and times of activities (1 point for every 8 educational hours accumulated); name of sponsoring organization; instructor/speaker; location (city, state/province).

When your record pops up, go to the file icon on the toolbar and select print. This report lists the candidate’s activity history for events and activities hosted by the NIGP.
