Lifetime Status
Lifetime Certification is an option for current
certificants after fifteen (15) or more years of purchasing experience in the
public sector. Certified individuals may apply for Lifetime Certification
Status upon official retirement or at the age of sixty-two (62) whichever
occurs first.
Individuals applying for Lifetime Certification should complete the current
Recertification Application and check the box reads "Lifetime CPPO/CPPB
Certification." Under this circumstance, the applicant does not need to
document points earned and there are no points required to obtain the status.
However, with the complete application and appropriate fee the applicant must
submit documentation that supports the following:

purchasing experience. |

Written documentation of the retirement must be included. |

Candidates, sixty-two (62) or older must indicate their birth date
on the recertification application and provide documentation supporting 62 or
older. |
