UPPCC Announces Newest Designees - October 2017 Class

UPPCC Announces Newest Certified Public Procurement Officer (CPPO) & Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB) Designees

Herndon, VA - January 8, 2018 - The Universal Public Procurement Certification Council (UPPCC) is pleased to announce that 95 individuals successfully completed the fall 2017 UPPCC certification examinations administered October 16-28, 2017. The coveted Certified Public Procurement Officer (CPPO) and the Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB) credentials, recognized throughout the public procurement profession, demonstrate an individuals' comprehensive knowledge of public procurement.

Of these 95 newly certified individuals, a total of 62 earned the CPPB certification while 33 earned the CPPO certification. This newest class of professionals brings the total number certified for CPPB and CPPO to 10,345 and 2,747 respectively.

Obtaining either UPPCC certification requires the candidate to demonstrate through an application process, that they meet specific requisites; including formal education, procurement related coursework/training and public procurement employment experience. A comprehensive written examination (specific to each certification) is required to confirm the candidate's mastery of a variety of public procurement concepts found in the UPPCC Body of Knowledge. UPPCC will be accepting applications for the May 7-19, 2018 testing window through the January 29, 2018 application deadline (late deadline February 12).

The Universal Public Procurement Certification Council (UPPCC) is an independent entity formed to govern and administer the Certified Public Procurement Officer (CPPO) and Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB) certification programs. The CPPO and CPPB programs are highly regarded and respected among procurement professionals and employers involved in the public sector.
